Canyon Vista Middle School (CVMS) is a middle school located in unincorporated Travis County, Texas. It is part of the Round Rock Independent School District. It has three subsidiary elementary schools:
- Laurel Mountain Elementary School
- Kathy Caraway Elementary School
- Spicewood Elementary School (Some Spicewood students go to Grisham Middle School after they graduate from Spicewood)
It follows on to Westwood High School.
In 1986, Canyon Vista had an extension built to accommodate at least 200 extra lockers as well as 10 extra rooms.
Canyon Vista is the COOLEST SCHOOL IN AMERICA! MUSTANG PRIDE!
Canyon Vista has won two blue ribbons from the United States Department of Education and has also been chosen by the Texas Education Agency as one of the top ten middle schools in Texas. The student newspaper is called the Canyon Echoes, and it won a national award for middle school papers in the 2003-2004 year.
