Cantiano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 km west of Ancona and about 50 km southwest of Pesaro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,537 and an area of 83.2 km².[1]

The municipality of Cantiano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Palcano, Vilano, Moria, Pontedazzo, S. Crescentino, Chiaserna, and Fossato e Pontericciòli.

Cantiano borders the following municipalities: Cagli, Frontone, Gubbio, Scheggia e Pascelupo.
