"Cantando por un sueño" is a single released only in Mexico. After it's release as a Promo single only for Mexico, was decided to be included on Thalía's re-edition of her El Sexto Sentido album; El Sexto Sentido: Re+Loaded.

"Cantando por un sueño" was written and produced by Estéfano and Julio Reyes and it was the title song of the Mexican TV reality show titled "Cantando Por Un Sueño" too.

The music video for "Cantando por un sueño" was directed by Jeb Brien and Rubén Galindo and shot in Televisa San Angel, the Mexican TV studios. In the video, Thalía is a seamstress who dreams of being a popstar. She goes to an audition for the TV show "Cantando por un sueño", sings and is picked for the show. In the second half of the video, we find Thalía singing on "Cantando por un sueño"'s stage, being as one of the two finalists. Finally, she wins the contest.
