The EF 35mm are Canon's wide prime lenses. This type of lens come in two types, the f/2 and the more expensive and more prestigious, f/1.4L USM. These lens are quite popular for the photographers new to wide angle. The lens is also close to normal when used on a 1.6x crop body.
