Cancelier

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In falconry, cancelier, or canceleer, is the turn of a hawk upon the wing to recover herself, when she misses her aim in the stoop.

The fierce and eager hawks, down thrilling from the skies,
Make sundry canceliers ere they the fowl can reach.

Michael Drayton
