Cancún International Airport (IATA: CUN, ICAO: MMUN) is located in Cancún, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It is Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport in Mexico City.
Cancún Airport is going through some expansions, including the construction of a new runway and the brand new terminal 3, which is going to be ready by the first quarter of 2007, comprising 12 jetbridge-boarding gates and 4 apron doors.
The airport is owned by the Asur Company, together with Cozumel International Airport, Mérida International Airport, Chetumal International Airport, Campeche International Airport, Isla Mujeres Airport, and Playa del Carmen Airport.
Cancún International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 serves all charter flights, while Terminal 2 and a connected satellite building serve all national and international scheduled flights.
The terminals together comprise 45 boarding gates, 12 in Terminal 1, and 33 (A1-A11 and B1-B22) on Terminal 2.
