"Can I Live?" is a Hip-hop song by rap artist Nick Cannon, and the first single from his 2006 album Stages. [edit] Music Video
The video portrays Cannon's mother Beck (portrayed by Tatyana Ali) and her decision not to have an abortion. At the end of the video, Cannon's mother and he appear and embrace. Cannon explained the meaning of the song, saying:
"It's uplifting, for real y'all. I ain't passing no judgement. Ain't making no decisions. I am just telling y'all my story. I love life. I love my mother for giving me life. We all need to appreciate life. A strong woman that had to make a sacrifice. Thanks for listening. Thanks for listening. Mama, thanks for listening..." |
