[edit] License tagging for Image:WorlsFinest178 Nova.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:WorlsFinest178 Nova.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:13, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question...

Hello... this is an new user. (I'm very new to editing Wikipedia, so pls forgive any errors or ignorance of protocol.) I had a question re a recent edit you made to North (disambiguation). Should I open the discussion on the article's page? I wrote here first to make sure you'd see it. I'll look both here and there for a reply. Thanks! An Earthshine 19:23, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Go ahead. I think most people will agree the band North doesnt belong on the disambiguation page. camtin 18:52, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi again... wisely edited before leaving town.  :/ Sorry for the lapse. Being new here, I figured that you probably had a reason/guideline for eliminating the link, so I'm not here to argue it... but rather to learn. What's the reason why it doesn't belong there? Is it because there's no entry for it, and therefore no need to disambiguate? Or is there some other reason/guideline in play? I've skimmed the guidelines out there, but there's a LOT of material. I'm sorry if this is an RTFM thing I missed.  :) Please let me know, if you would. Thanks! An Earthshine 21:10, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Common sense buddy. No one cares about your shitty local band, and you're just going to confuse people. There's a local band for every word in the book (the book being the dictionary), and there are 100s called North. Go ahead, put it back up, let someone else remove it, and take it out with them. Thanks! camtin 16:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

As a side note, I'll try and find that regulation, I do remember reading it before. camtin 16:27, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
