Scouting Wiki Project Camporee is part of the Scouting WikiProject, an effort to build a comprehensive and detailed guide to Scouting and Guiding on the Wikipedia. A council-wide gathering of troops is still called a camporee. Within the BSA, the term 'jamboree' is reserved for the National gathering. Local councils are not allowed to use the term, except with national approval. Some council do host 'jamborees', but these are usually larger events then a council camporee. --emb021

"A recent phenomenon has been the creation of a projectoree". I have never heard of a 'projectoree'. How widespread is this 'phenomenon' that requires its mention in this article??? --emb021

Perhaps not so widespread. :-( I know there are patches out there from Projectorees held in the 1970s and that the term was one of many used in the early part of the 20th century for the events we now all call Camporees. --Habap 19:12, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
