[edit] Status as a "covert detention facility"

Camp Eggers's status as a secret detention center seems well-sourced; it is inappropriate to simply delete source statements just because they conflict with what LJA believes to be true. Perhaps these things happened before or after his own stay there; it is also possible that the Afghan intelligence officials cited in the NYT/IHT article were privy to information that LJA wasn't. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Whiskey Pete (talkcontribs). 15:26, 2006 November 30

Well if you were here, and could see the layout of the base, and how it's constructed... you'd understand LJA's comments. There just isn't enough space here! The place is just way too small to host any "covert detention facility." Not only that, but the logistics behind transporting/holding/keeping "detainees" makes keeping secret the fact that you HAVE detainees IMPOSSIBLE on a base this small.
