[edit] Camp Loyaltown

Camp Loyaltown is a private, nonprofit, summer residential, respite camp which cares for children as young as 4 years old through adults in their 80's who have developmental and other disabilities. Camper's functional levels range from mildly developmentally disabled through severely disabled. Many of the individuals who we serve have no other handicapping conditions while others have one or a number of the following additional disabilities: Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Autism, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Speech Impairment, Orthopedic Involvement, Emotional Sensitivity, Hyperactivity and other mental or physical impairments.

Our philosophy is to provide our campers with a fun, safe, and stimulating vacation, which is why we offer a 1:2 to 1:3 staff camper ratio. The camp is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York.

Camp Loyaltown is situated on 235 wooded acres in the northern Catskill Mountains in Hunter, NY offering campers a complete program of recreation. These programs include swimming, boating, nature, arts & crafts, ceramics, fabric arts, dance, drama, woodworking, athletics, music and cooking. The camp facilities include a heated water activity/swimming pool (built in 2000), a small lake for boating, indoor areas for arts & crafts, ceramics, dance, fabric arts, cooking, music, woodshop and recreation. Meals are served in a spacious dining hall in a family style setting. Campers and staff live together in Loyaltown's modern, comfortable, rustic cabins. Campers are grouped by age and abilities and staff are assigned according to the needs of each individual.

where else would you rather be than right here, right now?!
