Camp Arcadia

Camp Arcadia is an all-girl (ages 7-17) summer camp on 365 acres in Casco, Maine. It is located next to spring fed Pleasant Lake so some of its main activities include swimming, diving, canoeing, kayaking, boating, sailing, and windsurfing. Other activities include tennis, campcraft, archery, nature, weaving, knitting, and dramatics. Also, campers are taken onto hiking or canoeing trips in nearby areas. For older girls, there are dances with other boy camps. Camp Arcadia is for girls of all ages. Arcadia has been owned and guided by the same family since 1916. Anne Henderson Fritts, Louise Henderson, and Louise Fritts Johnson currently run the camp during the summer with the help of 75 staff members. They also have a Camp Leadership Program for girls ages 16-19.
