Cameron Smith (born June 18, 1983 in Brisbane, Australia) is a rugby league player for the Melbourne Storm and the Queensland State of Origin Team. Smith captained the Melbourne Storm in their 15-8 loss to the Brisbane Broncos in the 2006 NRL Grand Final.
Widely regarded as a great leader, Cameron Smith displays maturity beyond his years. He is often seen as one of the core members of the Storm due to his large role in the team's success over the last few years. He can do nearly everything in Rugby League. He has a quick, crisp pass from dummy half, a superb workrate in defence, the ability to play make and create opportunities for his support players, a fine kicking game as well as the ability to kick goals. He is already a crowd favourite among Storm supporters due to his solid commitment.
