Cambodian Children's Trust

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cambodian Children’s Trust is an Australian charitable organization. The CCT was established to aid a small impoverished orphanage she visited in Battambang, Cambodia. The orphanage, named SKO, struggles to provide the 24 Khmer orphans with the most basic provisions. The inaugural CCT fundraiser was held on December 1st, 2005 and generated enough funds to begin supporting the orphanage and to develop a plan to make the struggling orphanage self sustainable.

It was founded by Tara Winkler at age 19 after she returned from a trip, where she taught English in a small landmine museum in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
