Wikipedia is a wonderland of potential. The articles I write are deeply enriched by the wiki links contributed by so many collegial fellow Wikipedians.
My interests chiefly lie in art and geography. Though briefly trained as a physicist (BA), I rarely contribute to math and science pieces.
I collect reference works, dictionaries and encyclopedias, but never paraphrase or crib from them. By convolving them with proprietary online sources and personal interviews with historians, archivists, researchers, authors and curators I strive to synthesize NPOV articles. I also spread the word about Wikipedia and encourage others to join.
I am continually delighted by the success of the project. I stay out of edit wars, repairing only overt vandalism, and work quietly on my areas of interest.
The power of other's fully-developed work in wiki hyperlinks deeply enriches the experience of writing articles.
Wikipedia is an important tool in my continuing exploration of my interests.
