Calvin Jones (physician)

Calvin Jones (April 2, 1775 - September 20, 1846) was a North Carolina physician. He served for many years as a trustee of the University of North Carolina. Jones was also elected to the North Carolina House of Commons and as the intendant of police of Raleigh, North Carolina.
The plantation he owned, Wake Forest, was purchased by the Baptist Convention, and became the home of Wake Forest College.
