Calvin Duncan

Calvin L. Duncan (1925/1926-July 29, 2006) was the first black police captain in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Duncan was born in Greenville, North Carolina. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. [1]

Duncan served in Italy in World War II and won five combat stars. [2]

In 2003, Duncan received an honorary degree in professional studies from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. [3]
