Calmecac

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Calmecac was a school for the children of Aztec nobility where they would receive rigorous religious and military training to prepare them to be future leaders. The students would also study astronomy and several other subjects. In a calmecac, a student would spend all of his/her time in the school. They ate there, slept there and played there if they had spare time.
