Calle de los Negros

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Calle de los Negros refers to the location in Los Angeles California of a racially motivated riot on October 24, 1871, known as the Chinese Massacre of 1871, when a mob of over 500 "whites" or Caucasians entered Los Angeles' Chinatown to attack and eventually murder Chinese-American residents of the city. The riots took place on Calle de los Negros, which later became Los Angeles Street.
