After the Thousand Oaks, California team joined the CCL, but the Central Valley Kings of Merced suspended play (Merced was an original CCL site), there was a 7-team regular game schedule. CCL teams had played exhibition games with teams of the Sacramento Rural League and the Pacific Southwest Baseball League. The league had former teams in Bakersfield, Fresno, Hanford, Merced, Oakland, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Rosa, California, and Santa Clarita, California and Simi Valley, California both near Los Angeles.
