Calibern is a Dutch Heavy Metal/Power Metal band from the City Delft.

Calibern is a Heavy Metal band from Delft in The Netherlands, once they began as a Epic Power Metal band that after a year ceased to exist. But thanks to the perseverance of some old bandmembers they started over but now as a Heavy Metal band.

Nowadays Calibern is a Heavy Metal band, influenced by great bands like: Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Wolf, Symphony X, Megadeth, Kamelot, Blind Guardian and the old Dream Theater.

After some changes in the band it now has a fixed basis: Federico on vocals, Jaap and Mario on the guitars, Boudewijn on the bass and Wilmar on the drums. A fixed basis for a firm feast of Heavy Metal has it was meant to be.

There have been dozens of gigs with bands like: Double Diamond, Ancient Mariners, Black Knight, Blo. Torch, Serenade of Darkness, Speedchaser, Annatar, Tripple 7, Slander and many more.

Calibern plays selfmade songs completed by a few covers of Iron Maiden. The band released 1 Demo CD called The Darkest Night.

On the moment Calibern is busy writing new songs and perfecting them so they can go into the studio to record a new CD in the summer of 2006. It will be a mini CD called Calibern. There will be 6 songs on the CD: Blazing Through The Sky, Kill The Beast, Calibern, The One, Insane and a faster version of The Darkest Night.

Calibern is ready for the future but is the future ready for Calibern?
