Calgary McCall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Calgary McCall is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada.
Calgary McCall was created in 1971 and was formed out of the north half of Calgary East. Social Credit held this riding from its creation in 1971 to 1975, since then its been Progressive Conservative. The biggest victories came in the 70's and 80's, recently however as the demographics have become more diverse the popularity of the P.C.'s has started to slip, the past few elections have seen some close and bitter races.
This district is the second most ethnically diverse district in the province, it includes the Calgary International Airport, a large swath of industrial area, Airways Heights, Whitehorn, Taradale, Martindale Coral Springs, Saddleridge and the McCall Industrial Park.
