Calabasas High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Calabasas, California of the San Fernando Valley . It is one of three high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District (along with Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California and Indian Hills also located in Calabasas, California), as well as the closest high school to the west of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Calabasas High was ranked #776 in Newsweek's "Top 1000 U.S. High Schools" poll.[1]

Despite Calabasas High being in Los Angeles County, it is in the Ventura County sports league. Basketball and tennis are two sports where Calabasas athletes excel. On a sad note, the Calabasas High varsity football team went winless for the 4th consecutive season and has a 42 game losing streak. However, on an academic note, on September 26, 2006, Calabasas High School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award, an award that puts the school in the top 3% of high schools nationwide. It also boasts being a California Distinguished school and has a renowned theatre, arts, and music program.

The latest emphasis has been placed on incoming freshmen. Coyote Connect matches faculty members to new students, mentoring them through their first year of high school and beyond. This school is highly academic and offers not only numerous AP courses, but a wide varity of athletic and extra curricular opportunities for all students.
