Caitlin Davies

Caitlin Davies is an author born in England in 1964. Her parents her are both well known writers, Margaret Forster and Hunter Davies.
She has been associated with Botswana since 1990 when she met her husband while studying for a Masters in English at Clark University, USA. Relocating to Botswana and working as a teacher, she wrote the novel Jamestown Blues and The Return of El Negro. The victim of a brutal assault and rape, she was active in research concerning domestic violence in Botswana.
She has since returned to England where she has published a memoir about her experiences, called Place of Reeds. She writes regularly for The Independent, and is working on a novel (Black Mulberries) to be published next year.
