Here is an example of the change I'd like to see to the infoboxes on the pages of NHL teams.
[edit] Background
When I first found the team infobox added to Ottawa Senators, I thought it was a good idea, but I had a minor problem with the way it looked. After checking out another team or two, I realised that I shouldn't go changing it right there, so I enquired on the talk page to find out where it was being discussed.
I had been inactive on Wikipedia for a while, so I wasn't exactly up-to-speed on what a WikiProject was, so I needed to get up to speed, so I've sat back for a while without moving on this nagging issue.
[edit] Explanation of changes
[edit] Targets
- To prevent the white background of some rows from "blending in" to the page background
- To put white-space between infobox and page body.
[edit] Implementation
- Adding:
style="1px solid; margin-left: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5 em"
- to the table definition. I think the thin border (similar to most infoboxes) sets it apart more clearly.

I don't like the cellspacing, but I don't think it's as important as the border (and I'm not as wedded to it). But I did want to put it up and give folks a chance to comment on it.
I sense that it might be a love-it-or-hate-it type of thing, but I wanted to get others' input on it.
The additional change is to use cellspacing=0 instead of 3.
