Caern

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Caerns are places in the World of Darkness fictional universe, as depicted in the role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse and related media.

Caerns are holy to Garou (werewolves) and are situated on special Places where the Umbra touches the material world, are home to Garou and spirits alike. Consequently, these locations are wells of mystical energy, making them scarce and jealously-guarded resources sought after by various supernatural factions, including mortal mages. A caern is almost always guarded by a powerful spirit and a sept up to 60 Garou.
