Cadiz is a village in Harrison County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,308 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Harrison CountyGR6.

Cadiz is located at GR1.
(40.270713, -80.995709)According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 23.1 km² (8.9 mi²). 22.9 km² (8.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (1.12%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 3,308 people, 1,391 households, and 916 families residing in the village. The population density was 144.6/km² (374.5/mi²). There were 1,524 housing units at an average density of 66.6/km² (172.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 87.70% White, 8.98% African American, 0.39% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.15% from other races, and 2.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.27% of the population.
There were 1,391 households out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.2% were married couples living together, 13.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% were non-families. 30.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.85.
In the village the population was spread out with 22.3% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 20.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 82.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.4 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $29,518, and the median income for a family was $42,049. Males had a median income of $33,233 versus $17,192 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,405. About 12.5% of families and 15.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 24.2% of those under age 18 and 8.9% of those age 65 or over.

- Cadiz is the birthplace of movie star Clark Gable on February 1, 1901, and the site of his museum at 138 Charleston Street in the village. It is also home to the Harrison Central High School Huskies.
- Cadiz was a stop along the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad that connected Pittsburgh to Chicago and St. Louis.
