Cadernos Pagu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cadernos Pagu is a Brazilian journal on gender and sexuality. It was created in 1993 at the UNICAMP, one of the most important Latin American universities.
Pagu was the nickname of Patricia Galvão, a Brazilian woman that fought for her ideals in the first half of the twentieth century. Her courage, intelligence, and commitment to social questions has turned her into an icon for Brazilian feminists.
The journal Cadernos Pagu has published (in Portuguese) papers of well-recognized scholars such as Judith Butler, but its main goal is to provide thematic issues that give a panoramic view of Brazilian contemporary research in the field of gender and sexuality studies.
