Caddo Parish Middle Magnet School, commonly known as Caddo Middle Magnet (CMM), is a performing arts magnet school in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2002/3 the school was the number one ranked middle school in Louisiana. It is currently a "four star" school& we will have our missing star back by next year ;the second highest rating awarded to Louisiana schools. The school district is Caddo Public Schools. The school retained its "five star" status in 2005-2006 despite the continuously rising standards of the No Child Left Behind Act. It recently dropped to a "four star" school because the standard for a "five star" ranking was raised.
Caddo Middle Magnet is located at 7635 Cornelious Lane, Shreveport, LA 71106. Our school opened in the fall of 1982, and enrolls students in grades six through eight. Today, we serve approximately 1230 of the best and brightest students from our area. Through academics, performing arts, and extra curricular activities, our school continues to make its mark on our community.
CMM partcipates in many fundraisers every year, from Magazine fundraiser sales to Hurricane donations to the American Red Cross.

[edit] Philosophy
Caddo Middle Magnet School is designed to promote an equitable, accessible program of basic skills and liberal arts learning opportunities in an orderly, encouraging environment. Dedicated teachers, committed to meeting the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs of young adolescents, combine high expectations with guidance towards responsibility, leadership, and pride. These goals are supported in a positive, ongoing partnership with parents.
We are mindful of some of the fundamental values which bind us as a school family: that learning takes precedence over every other activity at Middle Magnet; that none of us interferes with our own or anyone else's learning; that we respect our own property and that of other people, as well as the school's; and that every administrator, staff member, teacher, and student treats everyone in the building with respect and courtesy.
