Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group was created May 2, 2006 by the Cadbury Schweppes buyout of The Carlyle Group's holdings in the Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group.

The Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group (DPSUBG) was formed in 1999 by the merger of The American Bottling Company and The Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas. Several other regional bottlers were acquired by DPSUBG between 1999 and 2006.
