A cabin cruiser is a type of boat is a boat that usually ranges in size from 24ft to 36ft. They have a head (bathroom) typically with a shower, a galley (kitchen), and at least one berth (bed). Most cabin cruisers usually have a dinette (table) and a aft cabin (bed in the rear of the cabin). Some cabin cruisers are equipped with heat and a/c and generators. Most have hot water heaters and shore power electric systems. Cabin Cruisers are generally built to a higher standard because of a U.S. regulation that is very strict on the manufacturing of watercraft above 21ft. Cabin Cruiser are generalized as being slower that an open bow (front) boat , which is not generally true, the speed depend purely on it is built and equipped, most newer cabin cruisers are generally faster than older models because of more aerodynamic and hydrodymanic designs. The cabin provides temporary housing that is generally fairly comfortable. Cabin Cruiser are generally able to handle the water better because of their size and give a more stable ride. They are generally spacious in the cockpit ( open seating area towards the aft). Cabin cruiser come in a variety of prices, but can often time be expensive. For many people buying a used cabin cruiser is good alternative towards new as they are less expensive but still don't age like a automobile would and more like houses in that regard.
