C91.3
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
C91.3 (call sign 2MAC) is a commercial radio station broadcasting on the FM band at a frequency of 91.3 MHz to the Macarthur region of New South Wales in Australia. This area takes in the major centres of Campbelltown and Camden. The station is owned by WIN Corporation, the parent company of WIN Television. Due to interference issues with Band 2 TV services (namely WIN 3 Wollongong and NBN 3 Newcastle), it can only broadcast at 1 kW ERP. This has resulted in less than adequate coverage for Campbelltown. It is not a de-facto Sydney station like The Edge 96.1 as a result of this.
Originally, when it started in 2001, the station played classic rock hits, but then shifted to CHR in 2004.
The station features former Triple M jock, Stuart Cranney. From 2001 to 2005, he presented the "Classic 9 @ 9", in which he played 9 songs with a common theme. From 2006, the 9-10am slot is now taken up by the final hour of Rob Doorey's "Macarthur Breakfast" program, in which it is the "At Work Network" and therefore, the "Classic 9 @ 9" was dropped from the station's schedule. Despite the dropping of his famous program, Stuart Cranney remains on the station, on the 10am-2pm slot.
On Saturday nights from 6pm, the station airs "Nothing but 90's", a retro program dedicated to 90's music. The program is also heard on other WIN Television owned radio station, i98FM in Wollongong.
