Clube de Futebol Estrela da Amadora (pron. IPA: [(ɨ)ʃ'tɾelɐ dɐ ɐmɐ'doɾɐ]), sometimes refer to as just Estrela, is a Portuguese sports (and mainly football) club based on Amadora, northwest of Lisbon. While never a contender to the place of third most important club in the Lisbon Football Association, Estrela da Amadora (which is translated to "Amadora Star") won a Cup of Portugal in 1990 and one Portuguese Second Division of Honour title in 1992-93. Within their 12 completed seasons at top flight football, their best season was in the 1997-98, when they finished seventh. Estrela has participated in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1990 reaching the 2nd stage.
