C-38 Courier

The C-38 Courier is the US military designation for the Gulfstream Aerospace/Galaxy Aerospace Corp Gulfstream G100 Series twin engine business jet, which is the American version of the Astra SPX built by Israeli Aircraft Industries (IAI). The C-38 replaces the C-21 Learjet.

The C-38 is currently in use by the 201st Airlift Squadron at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. The aircraft is in service with the 201st Airlift Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base. The C-38 differs from the standard Gulfstream G100 because it features:

  • US military-grade GPS
  • Tactical Air Navigation
  • UHF and VHF secure command radio
  • Friend-or-foe identification system
