[edit] Plot summary

Soon after Hyde moves back in with the Formans, Kitty announces her plan to redecorate the basement and proceeds to hire contractors Theo and his cousin Leo. Theo claims he used to be like his Leo, however one day the smoke cleared up and he noticed how badly trashed his room was. When Kitty tells Red Theo had an epiphany, Theo corrects her to the dislike of Red explaining that he ran out marijuana which led to the smoke clearing. After fixing up his room, he became a contractor.

After failed attempts to stop Kitty from pursuing her idea, Eric and Hyde quickly see an opportunity to stop the contractors when they are told by Theo to do what they normally do. Soon Eric, Hyde, Leo, and Theo are in the circle Eric persuades Theo to follow his heart and become an artist. Still on the first day of construction, Leo announces to Red and Kitty that the basement is done.

Red and Kitty are horrified to see that the basement looks exactly the same, and Kitty exclaims "Red, i think our contractor is on dope." Theo tells them that their basement is a form of art, and that he moved everything 2 inches to the left. Feeling they truly made art out of Eric basement, Theo and Leo leave the Formans in confusion.

Fez signs up for ballet classes to meet girls. Finding no success, Jackie later tells him he is not masculine enough.

Throughout the episode Donna makes trouble for Eric revealing little things that she did not like about him when they were dating but kept a secret. She also sides with Kitty on fixing the basement. After an argument which in ends with Eric asking if she had Carnation instant bitch for breakfast, Donna asks Kelso and Jackie why she was acting this way towards Eric. Kelso tells her she had left over "doin' it" feelings for Eric, which Donna later tells Eric about her lingering feelings and apologizes for arguing with him recently.

During the end credits, the gang is watching television in the basement as normal. However, Fez looks around the room suspiciously, then muttered "something has changed".
