"Butterfly" is a song by Crazy Town from their album The Gift of Game. It was released in April 2001. The hedonistic ambience coupled with the smart ryhming from Shifty Shellshock and Epic Mazur achieved the song major airplay throughout the Spring and Summer of 2001, even garnering the title "hit of the summer".

The song was written by Shifty Shellshock as an ode to his long time ex-girlfriend, Cynthia Mittweg. It sampled the Red Hot Chili Peppers' song titled "Pretty Little Ditty".

"Butterfly" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as in Germany and Australia, and number three in the UK singles chart.

"Butterfly" was performed at MTV's Fashionably Loud party in Cancun,Mexico during Spring Break 2001. Models sporting their latest beach wear would then proceed to do a cat walk and serenade them.

The song was featured in the 2002 movie Orange County, and appeared on the soundtrack.

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine covered this on his 2004 album I'd Like a Virgin.
