Business Mileage Reimbursement Rate
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Business Mileage Reimbursement Rate is an optional standard mileage rate used in the United States for employee reimbursement when operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving expense purposes. The General Services Administration sets the rate for federal jobs, while the Internal Revenue Service sets the rate for all others. In general, the GSA rate matches the annual rate set by the IRS, although by law it cannot be higher than the rate set by the IRS.
The reimbursement is optional for non-federal jobs.
