For the beetle species A. bushi, see Agathidium.

Bushi (武士) is a term for the buke class in pre-industrial and feudal Japan. The term Bushido is derived from this term.

Although often incorrectly used interchangably with samurai, bushi is a general term refering to all aristocratic warriors. The samurai were a class somewhere in the middle.
