Bus Life

Bus Life was an English television show that aired on Disney Channel in England in the early 2000s. It followed the trails and tribulations of secondary school pupils on the way home from school. The main characters were:

Rick- Rick is the most popular child in school. He is very athletic and is boyfriend to Sally.

Sally- Sally is Rick's girlfriend. Although she shows great knowledge in school, she's a dimwit when it comes to solving real life problems.

Eddie- Eddie is the youngest and most immature of the group. He considers it a priveledge to be able to sit on the top floor of the bus with the older children. He is Jess's younger brother and is the most funny of his friends.

Jess- Jess is Eddie's older sister, yet the come from totally different ethnic backgrounds. She is very superficial and is usually found talking on her cellphone.

There were also stereotypical 'gangs' of people on the bus, such as The Brainy kids, The Skaters and The Goths.

An interesting thing about the show is that almost all of the characters broke the fourth wall at some time in the series.

Some of the adventures they had included:

  • Eddie forgetting to pay for a chocolate bar and the other kids putting him on trail
  • Someone stepping in dog excrement.
  • A foreign child sitting in the back seat, where the gang always sits.
  • Jess getting bubble gum in her hair and the others having to get it out.
  • The gang missing their stop and being driven all the way to the bus depot.
  • Rick having to hide the fact that it's his birthday to avoid getting Birthday Beats.
