Burwood Station, located along Railway Parade in Burwood, is a relatively main station on Sydney's CityRail network. The suburb station is in between Strathfield Station and Croydon Station. The station is close to major shops and the main street, as well as schools. The station has no wheelchair access, customers using stairs instead. Platforms 3 and 5 are Citybound, Platform 3 being an express, while platform 5 being mainly all-stop or most-stop trains. Platforms 4 and 6 travel in the opposite direction, towards Strathfield. Trains which stop on Platform 4 are usually express trains to Penrith, Richmond, Emu Plains, Epping, Hornsby, etc. Platform 6 is a mostly all-station platform, where trains travel to Sydenham, Liverpool, Campbelltown, etc.
The station occasionally uses Platforms 1 and 2 for express services.
