Burewala

Burewala (Urdu: بورے والا) is one of the cotton producing areas in the district of Vehari, Punjab, Pakistan and it is also called as cotton king city. It is also famous for education and sports. It is found on the map at latitude of 30.16 N and Langitude of 72.67E. It is situated about 35km from Vehari District and 135km east of historical city of Multan. Burewala is the major grain market in the area. Burewala is also famous for a religious shrine of Haji Sher Dewan. He was one of the earliest Muslim saints in the Subcontinent. The renowned pacer of Pakistan cricket team, Waqar Younis is a well known young man also belonging to Burewala and he is known in the world as "Burewala Express". Burewalians are very proud of this. Burewala is also famous for the invention of 3 wheel motor-bike rickshaw with is also known as Chandgari. Also we have the Aisa's largest Textile industry in the city of Burewala, which is own by Daud Group of Industries called (BTM) Burewala Textile Mills, which is now known as Lawrencepur Limited. Burewala have some real good shopping bazars and one City Center Plaza which is in fact constructed in a very stylish way with all the facilities available and have some real nice shops over there.Food is also very good in the city and at a very reasonable price. Burewala is sorounded by bountries few biggest Industrial and Agricultural cities e.g. Vehari,Arifwala,Chichawatni, Hasilpur, Chishtian.
