The Bureau of Investigation (BI) is a criminal investigation agency of Ministry of Justice of Republic of China.

The Bureau of Investigation is formed in 1927. By the time of 1949 the bureau transferred to the Ministry of Interior. At 1956 it transferred to the Ministry of Justice Administration. At 1980 it transferred to current Ministry of Justice.

The bureau have 9 mission: 1 Counter any Internal disorder. 2 Counter any disorder caused by foregin. 3 Counter any leak of national classified material. 4 Anti-Corruption of any civil service. 5 Drug control. 6 Prevent of any organized criminal organization. 7 Counter any major economic crime. 8 Internal Security Investigation 9 All matter regarding national security and national interesting.
