Bunny is a daily webcomic by Lem (b. 1984-03-20), the pseudonym of a Welsh artist and college student named Huw Davies. Launched in August of 2004, Bunny follows the gag-a-day formula, with no real plot between installments. The subject matter of Bunny varies widely (with topics ranging from popular Internet culture, to current events to rabbit ninja), but usually portrays the pink bunny protagonist's uncomplicated take on a given situation.

[edit] Characters

The Pink Bunny
The Bunny
The pink bunny is the main character, and is mainly the strip's only constant. Most of the strips are moderately random, but involve many things with pop culture, internet phenomenons, and the like. The Bunny's gender is never specified, but instances of hinting it have occurred. The Orange Bunny once seemed extraordinarily attracted to a female guest. The Pink Bunny was shown with breasts on the 2004-11-24 strip, saying that it would look silly with them[2], and dressed as a princess on the 2005-05-05 strip [3]. It was also dressed as a male "hipster" on the 2005-06-28 strip [4] and was outraged this was not a "guarantied makeout-magnet." However, most of these examples were guest strips, created by people other than the strip's creator, who publishes them along side his own.
The limited regular cast is often supported by a variety of pink, blue, orange, pirate, ninja, and stealth ninja pirate bunnies. More on the colors of bunnies, the comic "extended family" [5] shows different colored bunnies, including green, red, yellow, and navy. Humans are very rarely drawn, and a squirrel character has shown up twice as a friend of the Pink Bunny. Likewise, bats, bunny zombies, and alien parasites show up randomly.
While plot lines at large are not present, there are recurring situations from which some insight can be gleaned as to differentiation between the bunnies. The Orange Bunny is often presented as a more malicious figure, known to be very fond of explosions, early strips indicate the Pink Bunny enjoys plane flights, and the ninja/pirate/stealth ninja pirate bunnies share an affinity towards watermelons and Canada. The character "ninja dude on moped" made a recurring, traffic courtesy-themed appearance.
