Bunavad was the first national airline in Bulgaria. The abbreviation stands for Bulgarsko narodno vazdohoplavatelno akcionerno druzhestvo (Bulgarian National Aeronautical Corporation). It operated flights between major Bulgarian cities from October 1927 until it ceased operations a year later. Bunavad's unofficial successor was Balkan Bulgarian Airlines.
