Bugles are a corn chip snack food from General Mills. They come in the following flavors: Chile Cheese, Nacho Cheese, Original, Sour Cream & Onion, Salsa, Smokin' BBQ, Churros, Southwest Ranch, and Sweet and Salty Carmel. Their name comes from their shape, although they more closely resemble cornucopias.

Bugles were test-marketed in 1965 and introduced nationally in early 1966 as one of a trio of new snacks, the other two being the flower-shaped Daisies and the tube-shaped Whistles, both now discontinued.

Bugles are noteworthy for being fried in coconut oil, which contributes to their being significantly higher in saturated fat than other snack foods, which are typically fried in soybean or other vegetable oils. However, Bugles are noteworthy as a snack food for containing no hydrogenated oils.

Also made by generic brand Tom's under the same name, Bugles. They are now also sold in the UK in barbeque and salt & vinegar flavours.

Ingredients: Degermed Yellow Corn meal, Coconut oil, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda, Nonfat Milk, Wheat Flour, Freshness preserved by BHT.
