BugBox (software)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BugBox is a commercial brand of project management software (PRINCE2 software) with a free evaluation option.

PRINCE2 software is modelled on the PRINCE2 project management method and enables project teams to align their activities with the method.

For example, the PRINCE2 method for issue management is as follows:

  1. Capture and formally log the issue;
  2. Assess each issue to decide what action is required;
  3. Investigate the necessary actions;
  4. Document and confirm issue completion; and
  5. Review the issue log regularly.

PRINCE2 software can be deployed throughout the project team to enforce these steps as a pre-defined user workflow. Authorisation of the work required to resolve each issue should be restricted by the software to a pre-defined subset of users only (typically the project management team), for greater control.
