[edit] Welcome!
I hope you like this place and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

[edit] Erroneous facts
The real nasranis are the syrian malabar christians from kerala. These christians are only from kerala. They are not found in other states of India. I have been reverting the recent edit because it mentioned erroneous facts by mentioning the maratha and telegu as st thomas christians. but they are not. Please read about the various states of india before you call other people of being baised.
You seem to contradict yourself by doing this because I have been mentioning that the st thomas christians are syrian malabar christians and you seem to be reverting that very thing and protect erronreous facts. the statements that I was reverting to were:
The Saint Thomas Christians (Malayalam: Nasrani) are a group of Christians from the Malabar coast (now Kerala) in South India, who follow Syriac Christianity. The different groups and denominations within the St Thomas Christians together form the Nasrani people. Their tradition goes back to the very beginnings of first century Christian thought, and the seven churches that are believed to have been established by St. Thomas the Apostle.
Nasrani and Saint Thomas Christian tradition The Nasranis are an ethnic people and in that sense a single community. However the Nasranis have various denominations as a result of Portuguese persecution. As an ethnic community they refer to themselves as Nasranis referring to the common cultural heritage and cultural tradition. However as a religious group they refer to themselves as the Mar Thoma Khristianis or in English as Saint Thomas Christians referring to the various and diverse religious denominations between them in terms of their religious tradition, despite a common ancestory of being the descendants of the early Mar Thoma church or Saint Thomas tradition of Christianity.
Malayalam is the language of the people in kerala, please do not confuse it with malay the language of indonesia. while nasrani is the term used by these malayalam speaking syro-malabar christians from kerala including the knanaya people. Parav 06:40, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Nasrani = the islamic wor for anti-gnostic disciples of the Nazarene in the east (not to be confused with Nasaari Gnostics). You are confusing Nasrani with Knanaya. The Nasrani are a religious group while the Knanaya are an ethnic group. P.S. who is confusing Malay with Malayalam? Certainly not me -I speak a little of both. Have you got me confused with someone else?Budo 00:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nazarene Prophecy
I noticed that you reverted with a note that the redirect was causing problems on other pages. Could you be more specific? The version you reverted to was made into a redirect because it is an unsourced neologism for one passage in Matthew. If the problem is just redirects from other pages to Nazarene Prophecy I can easily fix that. The article as it stands though shouldn't stay at this namespace because the usage of this term for that passage is not sourced and in fact the only sources I can find for it are not what I would call reliable (like bibleufo.com). If not a redirect I will probably PROD or AfD this in a few days.--Isotope23 14:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Fair enough... I'll just PROD this and see if anyone objects. If someone does I can just go from there.--Isotope23 15:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- No objection here. THE OCE did not actually use the the term "Nazerene Prophecy." I cannot believe I did not realize the problem there. The current version of the article is untenable and previous versions are even less defensible. I have endorsed the prod, but, for future reference, the problem Budo is concerned about could be solved by simply taking the redirect out of Nazarene (sect), as should have been done when the articles were merged. This can be checked by clinking on "What links here."
- I thought that perhaps we should have a redirect, but that would just be confusing for a reader because the Nazarene (sect) article does not have a discussion of Matthew using the term "Nazerene Prophecy" (nor could it, until we find a reliable source that uses the term). JChap2007 20:58, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- I considered taking the redirect out of Nazarene (sect) but did not want to step on toes so went for the safer route. Since we are all agreed then I hope it gets the chop soon.Budo 14:38, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
