Orange eye butterflybush (also called butterfly bush, orange eye, summer lilac; syn. Buddleia davidii), is a perennial plant of the Scrophulariaceae family, which is native to northwestern China and Japan. In addition, this plant is used like a ornamental plant. It can be invasive in the United States, and it is classified as a noxious weed by the State of Oregon.
