[edit] Pathfinder

Oh, for cryin' out loud...here's your verification. -TPIRFanSteve 22:00, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

  • That is NOT verification. Your UNSOURCED edits cannot be verified. So unless you can prove them with an actual reference you should not go changing things. PERIOD! Buckner 1986 23:05, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
    • May I ask why it is such a big deal to you to continually re-add information that isn't even true? I really don't know how I can go any further toward proving to you that Pathfinder has been played perfectly more than two times. Hell, Barker said on the air earlier this season that he makes up the records. Is that good enough for you? -TPIRFanSteve 23:31, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I dislike your attack posture. You will not drive me away as you have others! I saw the broadcast where it was mentioned it was played perfectly three times that was referenced in the article. You seem to just make things up out of thin air. I have reported you and will report you again if need be. Buckner 1986 23:35, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
        • So did I. In fact, I've seen every episode since near the end of Season 27 and have also authored what is arguably the most comprehensive document about The Price Is Right in the history of the internet. The simple fact is, there is not anyone at the show who knows how many times Pathfinder has been played perfectly. The show has been on for 34 years, used 100 different pricing games, and produced 6,411 episodes (and that doesn't even count primetime specials and the various syndicated runs); they do not have a comprehensive record book from which any piece of information Bob desires can be retrieved in a matter of seconds. In fact, the closest thing they have to a "record book" is the top of a cabinet near the producers' table where they keep track of about six or seven stats, including the biggest Plinko win, the most expensive showcase won, and the largest prize offered in Golden Road.
Bob makes up records on the show at least once a week. He knows he is making them up, and he even admitted it on the air earlier this season. He frequently says that things have happened in years during which the pricing game in question didn't even exist yet; in fact, I'm reasonably sure he did this with Pathfinder on Tuesday, saying that its first perfect playing occurred in 1986 while the game didn't even debut until 1987.
I don't want to make an enemy of you. I'm not trying to make an enemy of you. However, you don't seem to want to accept anything I say -- instead choosing to take as gospel the word of a man who has publicly stated that his records are fake -- and I really don't know how to convince you otherwise. -TPIRFanSteve 23:57, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and one other thing: Please explain to me how I could "make up out of thin air" a Usenet post that has existed for over eight years or a message board post that's been around since March (because that's what you've just accused me of doing). -TPIRFanSteve 00:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I refuse to listen to your rants. LEAVE ME ALONE! Buckner 1986 00:24, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Might I ask why? Because at this point, you're actually being the uncooperative one. -TPIRFanSteve 00:32, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Let's get this straight, Buckner 1986: you've been shown evidence that the "three times" claim was false. You've been shown evidence that Bob ADMITTED that some of his claims have been false. And you've been shown evidence that your own claims are false. Want to be "left alone"? Fine. Leave correct, verified information alone, and you'll be left alone. -Dzinkin 00:57, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Way to go Steve! I am going to report you sockpuppet now too. Very mature! Buckner 1986 03:53, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh joy.
Can't you just admit that you're wrong and drop this? -TPIRFanSteve 04:50, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
TPIRFanSteve is right you are wrong and need to drop this. You've been shown evidence. Listen! Plinky 15:24, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Really, you need to calm down. You are in the wrong. Admit it. There is evidence supporting TPIRFanSteve. Daor Nedlog 17:02, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Don't let the assholes get you down!

I came here to thank you for fixing WCAU Personalities. I did not know that about Pat Battle. I had some problems with assholes like you had, just ignore them and they will be dealt with eventually or the loosers would just get tired and stop. Some people are just crazy and you just gotta ingnore the crazy whackjobs. Sad thing is Wikipedia attracts a lot of them. Kramden4700 05:37, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Advice

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony 13:42, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
