Buckstones Junior and Infant School (formally Buckstones County Primary School) is a mixed gender school for 4 - 11 year olds. It is located in the Buckstones area of Shaw and Crompton, in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England.
The school has no official denominational religion.
In January 2005 the school had exactly 204 pupils (111 girls and 93 boys) and around 9 teaching staff.
Latest results show that it (the school and it's pupils) performs above both the local Oldham LEA (Local Educational Authority) and national standard averages in English, Mathematics and Science. Ofsted reports from 2000 indicate that the school is generally "excellent" and "effective".
The school was built around the mid 1970s to provide the expanding town of Shaw and Crompton with adequate primary schooling. It is a purpose built single-floor, open-plan structure with considerable playing field space.
The current headteacher is Miss Sarah Healey.
